About Me
Growing up in Guyana, South America in the 80s and 90s, there were not alot of extra curricular activities available for young children. I attended school, after-school tutoring then my evenings were spent either studying or on the phone with my friends. I think that the most I had ever done physically, was ran while playing tag.
My fitness journey began 19 years ago in my quest to improve my health numbers (blood sugar and lipids). I began exercising at home by doing tae-bo in my living room a few times a week. I then progressed to the more difficult "Insanity" programs and was able to improve my health significantly.
After needing to challenge myself physically, I joined a gym and fell in love with weight training. With consistency and discipline I became healthier and fit. I soon realised that along with training myself, I enjoyed helping others in the gym and decided that Personal Training was my way to make a difference in society. I then began my certification process through British Columbia Recreation & Parks Association (B.C.R.P.A) to become a personal trainer. Throughout the years I have been able to apply the knowledge gained from my studies to train myself and my clients.
